Del Whitticase is the first of three artists involved in this project. His residency in the Merkinch area is connected to the Trinity Church and has close links to the community. The artist will develop and create a new artwork with the local people and various groups.

Geoff Broadway is the second of three resident artists invited to work in Inverness for 12 weeks as part of The Other Side of Air. This new arts project challenges artists and the residents of Inverness to explore aspects of spiritual life in contemporary society through dialogue and creative means.

Karen Rann is the third of three artists involved in this project. She creates installations and events on a large scale using unusual materials that are unique to their location. Whether creating artworks on land, in water or floating in space, most of her projects involve local people in every aspect of research, design and making.

Photographer Fin Macrae has documented the process of each artist as well as constructing his own companion pieces for each show. His powerful and evocative images are a reminder of the dynamism inherent within the photographic image.
